How do I download Monaeo onto my device?
After you’ve opted in* and created an account, you can download the app specific for your device. We have apps available for Android, Apple, and Windows phones. For Android, search for “Monaeo” in Google Play. For Apple, search for “Monaeo” in the App Store. For Windows, search for “Monaeo” in the Windows Store. Once the appropriate app is installed on your device, log into the app and you’re done! Simply let it run in the background. * applies only to business travelers within our enterprise clients
How do I know if Monaeo is enabled and automatically collecting my travel data?
As long as you have wireless or cell reception, your data is being aggregated. At the top right hand corner of the app, there should be a location icon that you can click on to show you that “Automatic logging is currently enabled.”
How much battery life does the Monaeo app consume?
On average, Monaeo consumes 1-2% of overall battery life. Battery drain from all apps for an entire phone is usually around 5-8% per hour depending on the phone, OS, OS version, and usage.
How much data does the Monaeo app consume?
Monaeo has been designed to minimize data consumption on your device. On average, the Monaeo app consumes less than 10MB data per month. Assuming a 10GB family shared plan and NO use of Wi-Fi, Monaeo will consume less than 0.1% of your data. When your phone is connected to Wi-Fi and you browse the Monaeo app, Monaeo will not consume any data from your data plan.
What if I get a new phone?
Simply download the app on your new mobile device and log into the same Monaeo account with your existing username and password.
How much space does the app take up on my phone?
The app is only 13.4 MB. A typical phone has 32GB (32,000 MB) in storage space.
Do I need a wifi connection for Monaeo to work?
No. Wifi connection isn’t required as long as you have cell reception.
How do I categorize a day as Personal, Travel or Work?
‘Sign In’ into https://monaeo.com and click on Calendar. You can edit individual days by clicking on a date and then clicking edit. You can also check multiple days and then click on the edit button.
How do I change my password?
You can update your password by going to your Settings. If you forgot your password, you can click on the “Forgot Your Password” link.
Does my phone need to be on for Monaeo to work?
Yes. Your phone needs to be on and have cell or wireless reception in order for the app to automatically aggregate location information.
Can I delete days?
No. You cannot delete days. You can, however, edit the location recorded or categorize the location to be Personal, Work, or Transit. For business travelers only: Categorizing a day as Personal or Transit excludes it from your withholding locations. For residency app users only: Categorizing a day as Transit excludes it from your residency limits and Days Left calculation.
